Dr Hans Heinerman
Director of Business Development
Dr Hans Heinerman has over 30 years experience in research management and business development, working for Shell, Akzo Nobel, KiOR and BIOeCON. After fundamental and refinery process research at Shell, he became strongly involved in catalyst research at Akzo Nobel, where he has been head of both analytical and catalyst research departments. In his last research position at Akzo Nobel, Hans was responsible for Fluid Catalytic Cracking catalyst research in Houston and in Amsterdam. Later on, he was transferred to the newly erected alternative fuels division, where he was in charge of business development, setting up cooperations with third parties to develop new catalysts and processes for production of biofuels. Having gained experience in biofuels technologies his next position was director at KiOR, a BIOeCON – Khosla Ventures start-up biofuels company in Houston. Currently, Hans is director of business development at BIOeCON.
